CLICK HERE for a great story on VPR about Listen Up and the Black Voices Lab that we have running on our website. Shani Stoddard and Elyse Martin Smith, a young black teen did a fantastic job talking about the project and the power of youth voice.
The Listen Up Project has released its first official piece of music!
My Person, a love song written by Vermont teens Lulu Barr-Brandt, Camille Maglienti and Lily Welch with help from music mentor Brian Boyes, is the perfect Valentine. It's a song from the upcoming Listen Up Project, an original musical inspired and created by Vermont teens, touring during summer 2021. This music video is just a taste of the work Vermont teens have done to share their stories and reveal what's important to them. You'll hear more as auditions and the tour draw near!
